Absentee Ballots Now Available
Hardin County Auditor Renee McClellan has announced that absentee ballots are now available for the November 6th city elections. Voters must complete and submit an absentee ballot request form. Forms may be obtained by contacting the Auditor's Office at 641-939-8109 or by clicking here. Voters may vote in the Auditor's Office between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The last day to cast an absentee ballot at the Auditor's Office is Monday, November 5th. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by November 5th and received prior to the official canvass. Ballots returned by hand must be delivered by 8:00pm, November 6th.

Hardin County announces the arrival of a new online website with property information and interactive maps. The Hardin County Real Estate/GIS Website is an ArcIMS website offereing easy access to publicly available data, and allowing the general public to use the same tools and datasets available to the county. This website is especially useful to community interest groups, neighborhood associations, professional firms, cities, and individual citizens seeking any collected information on properites within the city or county limits. Available data include property-specific parcel and assessment information; colorful, detailed maps of varying datasets; and buffering and area selection tools.
The Hardin County Real Estate/GIS Website is designed to promoted better policy and operational decision-making by community leaders. At the same time, this site can be used by the private sector to access the tremendous wealth of data that the county collects to assist in their business ventures.
